Meetings and Events Calendar Criteria
The World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO) provides a calendar of upcoming conferences and meetings that may be of interest to the general gastroenterology community and other related disciplines in the field. This calendar is available on the WGO website and events listed may also be included in the WGO quarterly electronic newsletter, e-WGN, and in WGO’s e-Alerts.
Inclusion of an event on the WGO Calendar does not equal endorsement by WGO. WGO Member Societies, Regional Affiliate Associations, or Training Centers looking for endorsement should consult the WGO Endorsement Policy.
Meetings and other educational activities to be considered by WGO should be open to the general gastroenterology community and other related disciplines in the field. WGO is committed to providing opportunities for education and training to as broad of an audience as possible. It is WGO’s expectation that the organizers of events which seek to be listed on the WGO calendar are likewise committed to making their programs accessible to all who wish to participate.
Criteria for Inclusion on the WGO Calendar
- Organizer should be a WGO Member Society, Regional Affiliate Association, or Training Center. Meetings hosted by other organizations will be considered by the WGO Executive Secretariat on a case by case basis.
- The events may be co-organized with large institutions (such as the Ministry of Health of a country or a large well-known University Hospital).
- Programs, workshops, and courses must meet a satisfactory scientific level, which is relevant to the general gastroenterology community.
- Application must include a way for interested participants to register for the event.
Application Process
Applications for inclusion on the WGO calendar can be submitted at any time and will be reviewed by the WGO Executive Secretariat in a timely manner.
Applicants must complete the online application form.

Unless explicitly stated, WGO does not endorse any event. Inclusion on the WGO calendar implies no financial relationship between the event and WGO. WGO will bear no fiscal responsibility or other liability for any listed event.
Inclusion on the WGO calendar is not guaranteed, and events can be removed at the discretion of WGO at any time.
